Easter Basket Ideas

Hi, Friends! We are back today to share with you some fun Easter basket ideas. For us, we want Easter to be less about a bunny, eggs, and candy and more about Christ and the sacrifice He made for us. With that being said, we are never going to turn down a reason to celebrate our Risen King. Easter has always been one of our favorite holidays, sharing them with our children and families makes the holiday even more special. Here are a few ideas that we like to incorporate into our little one’s Easter Baskets.

Faith-Based Items
If your little one doesn’t have a Bible yet, a Bible is the very best gift you could give them! If they already have a Bible, faith-based activity books, children’s Bible studies, or devotionals are great options. There are so many options for Bibles these days. As a side note, if you or someone you know is interested in a Bible and unable to afford one right now, please reach out to us via email at forgetmenotwellness@outlook.com, we would be happy to share the Gospel with you!

Outdoor Activities
Our kids absolutely love the outdoors, and so do we! A great time to gift your kiddos some outdoor equipment they have been wanting is at Easter. New baseball gloves, tennis rackets, scooters, sidewalk chalk, basketballs, gardening kits, bug catchers, or soccer balls are all great ideas.

Candy
Every mother’s nightmare… am I right? Let’s be real, it seems as though it is inevitable at Easter to receive some sort of candy. Thankfully, there are much better options these days. We prefer options such as YumEarth, UnReal, Lovely Organic, and The Organic Candy Factory. Most of these options are available at your local markets. We purchase YumEarth from Target and can even ship online. This year, for our family Easter Celebration, we stocked up on a few boxes of these for the annual Easter Egg hunt.

Books
Can you ever go wrong with books? Both of us are avid readers so it is very hard to resist books of any kind. Our kids have fostered the same love of reading and love to receive books as gifts too! There are so many great options for young readers!

Small Trinkets
Our kiddos love small trinkets and toys to fill their baskets. Enter Target’s Dollar Spot or the Dollar Tree for the win! We love adding little things such as band-aids, toothbrushes (and toothpaste!), seeds to plant, bubbles, hair ties, matchbox cars, play-dough, notebooks, pens, markers, crayons, and colored pencils are all perfect for baskets and inexpensive too!

Games
Games and puzzles are another great addition to Easter baskets. Card games are especially easy to add into a Easter basket. For Christmas, one of our kids received the Christmas version of this game, and it has been a family hit! This game is great to take along and kids of all ages get into the game, it can easily be modified for little ones too.
