Weekend Wellness | No. 28

Hello, Friends! Can you believe it is already June? Our kids are all out of school and we are ready to kick off summer! One thing that is easy to let go of when routines start to slide is time alone in the Word. We think it is extremely important. Not only is it good for our kids to see us actively reading the Word, it is good for them too! Encourage them to read on their own seated nice and close to you. Then, when you respective quiet times are done, you can swap stories about what you read. Even the littlest loves can get involved with picture books based on stories from the Bible.

Today we thought we would share a quick post on the proper way to store your Bibles. Of course, the BEST thing you can do is to actively be in your Bible, so you wouldn’t have the need to store it. But, many people, like our family, have multiple Bibles. I am so grateful to live in a Country where I can own a Bible, let alone multiple!

Did you know, Bibles should be stored horizontally? This helps to save the binding as well as preserves the Bible. This is especially important if you have a leather or leather-like cover. Hardbacks are an exception, but, I like to keep my whole family in the routine to store them this way. If you have the box still, storing the Bible in the box, horizontally is preferred. (For years, I never kept my boxes to my Bibles, I sure wish I had now that I know they should be stored that way!)

We hope this helps! Let us know… what Bible do you most commonly reach for?

If you or someone you know is in need of a Bible, please reach out to us. We would be happy to send them a copy of God’s Word.

Stay Well,
Tricia + Alisha
