Weekend Wellness | No. 27

Hi, Friends! We are back with another Weekend Wellness. As most of you know, we take our prayer lives very serious around here. If we say we’re praying for you… you’re getting prayed for.

One thing I stared a few years back is a prayer journal. I add the dates and prayers I am currently praying for in there. Not only does this help me remember to pray for those that ask for continued prayer, but I also leave a bit of space to record when or how it was answered. Now, the prayer isn’t always answered like I thought it would be or the way I think is best. But, God’s timing is always perfect.

My most recent personal favorite answered prayer is asleep on my lap as I type this. Trust me when I tell you, this prayer was a longstanding prayer. Lots of tears were shed as I continued to want to push forward my own plan and not wait for His timing. Not understanding that He didn’t close the door, but rather said, “wait”. Friends, prayer changes everything. We have a loving Father that WANTS to hear our prayers and be in constant communication with us. I think we often get too busy and don’t take time to appreciate all of the prayers He is answering for us, our co-workers, friends, and family.

My prayer journals allow me to celebrate the answered prayers and continually pray for those who are in need of prayer. I tote mine around all the time, and never forget to bring it to our small group. Any old notebook would do. Personally, I love these journals. They are so well made with the hard cover wrapped in printed book cloth with lay-flat binding. For those who know me personally, you know what a paper snob I am, and this paper is THE BEST. Smooth to write on, thick, never bleeds… just perfect. (I just realized this sounds like a sponsored ad for the journals – I promise you I have purchased each and every one with my own money! 🙂 )

“And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.”

1 John 5:14–15

I encourage you to start this habit for yourself. I honestly believe it leads to a deeper more meaningful prayer life and let me tell you, there is nothing better than seeing answered prayers for yourself and those around you.

As always, if you have a prayer request, it would be our honor to pray for you. Please email us at forgetmenotwellness@outlook.com or send us a direct message on Social Media so the request remains confidential.

Stay Well,
Tricia + Alisha
