Hi, Friends! We are back this week with another tip to get your home in order this January! One thing both Tricia and I like to do is to put pen to paper, especially when it comes to planning. Our lives are busy, so we have to write it ALL down or it will more than likely be forgotten in the hustle and bustle of daily living.
After a comically long search (we both have a LOT of demands when it comes to planners), we landed on the Home Planner, by Passionate Penny Pincher.
We both wanted something that was mom-friendly, kept us on track, had a large monthly layout spread, and preferably, had a faith element, since that is so important to both of us.
I (Alisha) liked the coil binding. In years past, the binding has been too large or not high enough quality to withstand a year of use. I also really appreciate the checkboxes for accountability. Not only are they things that we should all be doing daily, I love that it is a quick reminder to just get it done! Anyone that knows me well knows I live for a good to-do list. My husband often jokes my to-do lists have to-do lists… and he isn’t wrong. I was a little worried about the size being too big, since I transport the planner to and from work, but, it is so well made, it has not been a problem at all. Another feature I am extremely impressed by is the paper quality. It is thick, doesn’t bleed, and very high quality.
Tricia fell in love with the colors right away. She loves the extra pages to track goals and progress, as well as the notes section to record favorite Bible verses. The planner also comes with Bible verses to read each weekday, which is a good reminder to open your Bible! She also loves the ruler to make lines in the monthly section. She also loves the stickers to add a little extra to the pages. Each day also provides a little space to say what you are grateful for – what a great reminder to keep your eyes focused on what is good!
